6 questions

The Lodge at Deer Crest comfortably sleeps 13 to 20 guests across 9 bedrooms on three levels. The sleeping configuration includes:

  • 5 King bedrooms
  • 2 Queen bedrooms
  • 1 Bunk room with 4 Twin XL bunks (ideal for teens)
  • 1 Bunk room with a Twin-over-Full configuration

The maximum occupancy is 20 guests. For families with young children, the Lodge also provides 4 pack-and-play cribs with sheets and 6 inflatable toddler beds with sheets — at no additional charge.

The Lodge at Deer Crest has 9 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms — 8 full bathrooms and 3 half bathrooms — spread across three levels of a 12,000 square foot property.

Full bathrooms include jetted tubs, walk-in showers, and generous vanity space. The main level master suite has a luxury bathroom with both a jetted tub and shower. The lower level features a zero-entry accessible shower. There is also an outdoor half bath accessible from the deck area — no need to track through the house during outdoor gatherings.

Main Level: One master suite (King) with a gas fireplace, smart TV, and screened porch access — perfect for the trip organizer or a couple wanting a quieter retreat from the group.

Upper Level: Four king bedrooms plus a loft sitting area, the poker/game room, and a bunk room with 4 Twin XL bunks. The loft and upstairs layout makes it easy for multiple families or friend groups to have their own zone.

Lower Level: Two queen bedrooms, a second bunk room (Twin-over-Full), the rec room, theater room, relaxation room, and full bar/pool table area. The basement level is also the most accessible — with a zero-entry shower, ADA features, and elevator access.

The Lodge at Deer Crest has a 3-car garage and driveway parking for up to 8 vehicles — making it well-suited for large groups arriving in multiple cars. The garage includes a NEMA 14-50 EV charging station compatible with Tesla and most other electric vehicles.

Absolutely. The Lodge is thoughtfully stocked for our youngest guests. You will find:

  • 4 pack-and-play cribs with fitted sheets
  • 6 inflatable toddler beds with sheets
  • Children's dishes, cups, and cutlery
  • A stroller available for use
  • Age-appropriate books and toys
  • A high chair in the dining area

The flat grassy meadow at the front of the property is great for outdoor play, and the bunk room is perennially popular with kids and teens. Infants and children of all ages are welcome.

The Lodge can seat the entire group for meals without anyone being left out. Dining options include:

  • Main dining room: Beautiful table seating 14 adults
  • Breakfast nook: Seating for 6
  • Main deck outdoor dining: Table seating for 14 with additional lounge seating for 10
  • Loft sitting area: Comfortable seating for 10 adults

Between the main dining room and the deck, you can seat all 20 guests at once for a formal group dinner — something very few rental properties in North Georgia can offer.

Booking & Rates

5 questions

The easiest way to book is directly through our website at lodgeatdeercrest.com/book, where you can check real-time availability and complete the reservation online.

For group inquiries, multi-week bookings, corporate retreats, or special occasion packages, reach out directly:

💡 Booking directly on our site avoids OTA service fees — you get the same property and service at a lower total cost than booking through third-party platforms.

Nightly rates range from $1,120 to $1,900 per night depending on the season, day of week, and length of stay. Peak weekends — fall foliage season (October–November), holiday weekends, and summer — book at the higher end of that range.

A $45 administrative fee is added to each booking. This fee provides accidental damage insurance coverage of up to $3,000. Guests are required to notify us of any accidental damage prior to check-out.

For groups comparing cost per person: at 18 guests, even the peak rate works out to roughly $105 per person per night — often less than a single hotel room in the area.

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Our host greets guests personally at check-in, walking you through the property and answering any questions before leaving you to settle in.

For large groups with staggered arrival times, this is worth knowing in advance. We recommend designating one group member as the primary contact for the check-in walkthrough so late arrivals don't need to wait.

The Lodge books up quickly for high-demand periods. We recommend reserving 4 to 6 months in advance for:

  • Fall foliage season (October and early November)
  • Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's weeks
  • Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends
  • Spring break weeks in March and April

For corporate retreats and reunion weekings where the entire event hinges on the venue, we suggest booking 6 to 12 months ahead. Off-peak winter dates (January–February, excluding holidays) typically have more flexibility.

The primary renter must be at least 28 years of age. This policy ensures the Lodge is used responsibly by guests who appreciate and care for the property. Children and guests of all ages are welcome as part of the group — the minimum age applies to the individual making the reservation and assuming responsibility for the stay.

Yes — and it's a true gourmet chef's kitchen, not just a functional space. The main level kitchen includes a full refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker, freezer, kitchen island, and a complete set of pots, pans, baking sheets, and utensils. Coffee, wine glasses, and a full coffee maker are provided.

A second full bar/kitchenette in the basement (adjacent to the pool table room) provides additional prep and serving space — ideal for large groups so everyone isn't competing for one kitchen.

Prefer not to cook? The Lodge is also served by several recommended private chef services in the area — see our Things to Do page for contacts.

Yes to both. The 7-person covered hot tub is on the lower deck with sweeping mountain views — it is one of the most popular amenities, especially on cool fall and winter evenings.

The relaxation room on the lower level includes a private sauna, three massage chairs, four yoga mats, and robes. It's a spa-quality space that's particularly appreciated after a day of hiking in the Aska Adventure Area or on the trails near Lake Blue Ridge.

Yes. The Lodge has a NEMA 14-50 Level 2 EV charging station inside the 3-car garage. This outlet is compatible with Tesla (using an adapter), Rivian, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and most other electric vehicles that accept a standard J1772 or NEMA 14-50 connection.

It's worth noting that fast charging infrastructure in Blue Ridge itself is still limited, so topping off overnight at the Lodge is a smart move before venturing into town.

Yes. The Lodge has a dedicated business center with two private workspaces and a whiteboard — designed for executive retreats and corporate offsites. Fast WiFi covers the entire property, including the decks.

The combination of focused workspace, private sleeping accommodations for up to 20, multiple gathering rooms, and mountain views makes the Lodge one of the most compelling corporate retreat venues in North Georgia. See our Group Events section for more details.

Location & Getting Here

5 questions

The Lodge at Deer Crest sits on 4 private acres at the top of a ridge in the North Georgia Mountains, outside of Blue Ridge, Georgia. The property is elevated for panoramic short and long-range mountain views, and the driveway leads to a private setting with no visible neighbors.

Despite the secluded feel, the Lodge is approximately 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge — close enough to pop into town for meals, shopping, and wineries, far enough to feel completely removed from it all.

Full directions are provided after booking confirmation. The property has a Location page with a map for reference.

The Lodge at Deer Crest is approximately 90 to 100 miles north of Atlanta, depending on your starting point. The drive typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours via I-575 North and US-515 North — a straightforward, scenic mountain highway drive with no difficult mountain roads.

It is one of the closest large-group luxury cabin destinations to the Atlanta metro area, making it popular for quick weekend trips as well as week-long retreats.

Blue Ridge and the surrounding area offer exceptional outdoor and cultural activities year-round. Within 10–20 minutes of the Lodge:

  • Hiking: Aska Adventure Area trails, including Long Creek Falls and Stanley Gap — some of the best trail systems in North Georgia
  • Lake Blue Ridge: Swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing
  • Downtown Blue Ridge: Farm-to-table restaurants, boutique shops, breweries, and Mercier Orchards (a beloved local staple)
  • Wineries and breweries: Several award-winning wineries within a short drive
  • Golf: Old Toccoa Farm, a renowned mountain golf course
  • Horseback Riding: Appalachian Trail Rides (book early — fills months in advance)
  • Family fun: Lilly Pad Village (mini golf, gem mining), Tank Town USA, Swan Drive-In Theater
  • Blue Ridge Scenic Railway: A beautiful historic train ride through the mountains

Visit our Things to Do page for a full list of recommendations and links, or ask us for personalized suggestions when you book.

The Lodge at Deer Crest is genuinely beautiful all year round, and each season offers something distinct:

  • Fall (October–November): Peak foliage season. The mountains turn gold, orange, and crimson. The most sought-after time to visit — book 4–6 months in advance.
  • Winter (December–February): Crisp mountain air, cozy fireplaces, occasional snow. The Lodge's indoor amenities shine — hot tub, sauna, and fire pit are magical on cold evenings. Less crowded with better pricing.
  • Spring (March–May): Wildflowers, waterfalls running full, mild temperatures ideal for hiking. Popular for spring break and Easter.
  • Summer (June–August): Pleasantly cooler than Atlanta by 10–15°F. Lake Blue Ridge and hiking are at their best. Family reunion and graduation trip season.

The Lodge driveway is manageable for standard vehicles and most SUVs. In winter months when snow or ice is possible, all-wheel or four-wheel drive is strongly recommended — as it would be for most mountain properties at elevation in North Georgia.

For groups arriving in multiple cars, we recommend car-pooling into larger SUVs if winter weather is in the forecast. Contact us when you book and we are happy to share current road conditions or weather considerations for your dates.
